Ramblings....

Well....its been a week since I found out that I had strep...and I am glad to report that nearly every trace of it is gone! Hurray for Amoxicillian!

On Friday afternoon we had an interesting experience. Nate and Steph were home yet for this weekend and we wanted to do something as a family. Dad had a "brilliant" idea - lets tube down the Mackinaw. So we set out from Fonze's bridge with the goal of ending at the Springfield Rd. bridge - where we had been smart enough to leave my truck! When we got to the river, Katy refused to get in. Finally she got it....with a little coaxing and Dad's strong arm! Anyway...dad told us that this grand adventure would take around 1.5 hours. We started at 1:30 and got back to the truck around 5:30. Until the last person got out of the river and loaded into the truck it was around 6 pm. We hadn't had any water or food for 4 hours in the blazing 90 degree weather! In addition, Dad and Mom were having company at 6:30! Good think Mom was ready for them. We ordered Monicals and were finishing eating as people began to arrive! Quite the afternoon!

Another sidenote - today is the 11 month anniversary of Mary and I's engagement! Almost been together a year1
