Well, I've successfully let a month go by since the last post....not intentional, I assure you! Greg and I returned home from Brazil on Jan. 4 to plenty of dust but a dry basement! After some rearranging and cleaning up (and a piece of carpeting), we now have a storage area, a 'guest bedroom' with a beautiful egress window, and a place for toys. It feels so much better being in the basement now! Yes, we have plenty of work to do, but at least we know that it's water-free.....and has been through the test of 3 inches of rain, to boot! The Helitech crew started work on December 26, the day we left for Brazil. After they had been there and jackhammering for 10 minutes, we were thankful to leave! They did a great job!
