Taffy Pull #2 and some beautiful flowers from a handsome man....

A few weeks ago, we had my younger brother Caleb at our house for the evening. After supper, we decided to try a mini taffy pull, using different flavoring extracts. Caleb had never done a taffy pull before, so it seemed a good idea. We made a half-batch of taffy and split it into two pans to cool. In one we put root beer flavoring, in the other, cherry (and red food coloring). It wasn't just the best taffy ever made, we think because it cooked too fast. We maybe should have done a lower heat since there was less mixture in the pot. Oh, well. It was still fun to do, even though the taffy didn't pull very long. And now Caleb can say he's done it once. :)

Also, I have to show off my beautiful flowers I got for Valentine's Day from my thoughtful hubby! :) The ladies up at Floral Designs did an excellent job.

Life is pretty busy at our house with tax season in full swing, but it hasn't been too bad yet. I'm getting used to just making supper late (that's not too tough) and Greg working Saturdays. We figure that the worst of tax season will be done after March 15, when all of the corporate tax returns are due. The crazy thing is, once tax season is officially over, the baby will be due very shortly! So in one sense, tax season seems long (just because Greg works alot), but on the other hand, it feels like it's going to fly by! :)
