The other afternoon, Greg came home early from work and raked some leaves. He wanted Max to join in the fun, so we bundled him up (but probably not enough...it was pretty cold!) and introduced him to one of the simple joys of autumn in central Illinois: sitting in a big pile of leaves. Here's how it went:
That blur behind Max is Kia...she loved the leaves!
"Uh, Mom...a little help? I can't sit up!"
"Sit in a pile of leaves? Are you kidding me? Is this supposed to be fun?"
"I'm cold, I'm hungry, these leaves are creepy, and I want to go inside RIGHT NOW!"
"Ahhh, finally you guys get the drift! It's better to be playing with Daddy than sitting in those leaves...."
